Alumni

Mechanical Engineering Alumni are among the most active departmental alumni groups at NMSU. The ME Alumni interact with the department in many different ways including:

• advising the department on program educational objectives and effectiveness
• serving on the Mechanical Engineering Academy, serving on the Industrial Advisory Committee
• assisting the department in outcomes assessment and self assessment,
• supporting the department in the accreditation process,
• providing technical expertise on various departmental projects,
• utilizing departmental faculty and student expertise and help on R&D projects
• helping the department recruit new students
• being an advocate for the department in professional and social settings
• donating equipment and facilities to the department
• establishing and contributing in endowments for the department to help with scholarships and faculty development
• assisting the department financially.
