Materials Engineering Faculty Positions

The College of Engineering at New Mexico State University (NMSU) has three 9- month tenure-track faculty positions available starting in the Fall of 2008 in the general area of materials engineering. Depending on qualifications, the rank of the positions could be at Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidates will form the core of a materials research program that will include graduate programs in materials engineering. Academic appointments will be in Mechanical Engineering (ME) and in Chemical Engineering (ChE). These positions will be closely allied with the College of Engineering’s Institute for Energy and the Environment (IEE).

The successful candidates must have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field. Applications are solicited in all areas of materials science. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise relevant to the NMSU interdisciplinary research “clusters” and complement the established research areas in ME and ChE departments.
